For Our Future Taps Veteran Political and Advocacy Staffers for Data and Communications Directors
Washington, D.C. – For Our Future and For Our Future Action Fund have tapped John Malloy to lead its data program and Liz Cattaneo to run communications for its 2020 cycle.
National Data & Analytics Director John Malloy is a political strategist with over a decade of experience overseeing data and analytics for progressive organizations. Most recently, Malloy helped lead the Data and Analytics team at Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Planned Parenthood Votes during the 2018 cycle. Prior to that, he served as National Targeting Director for the DCCC in the 2016 cycle. Additionally, he served as a convenor of progressive coalition partners with America Votes in New Hampshire and worked to enroll people in ACA-provided health insurance with Enroll America.
National Communications Director Liz Cattaneo has spent her career at the intersection of progressive advocacy and policy. She previously served as the Communications Director for the labor and economic justice group Jobs With Justice where she led communications for a 200-member coalition that tanked Andrew Puzder’s nomination for Labor Secretary, and the first city-wide law regulating work hours and schedules. At the labor policy and advocacy organization American Rights at Work, Cattaneo she led communications for labor’s fight for the Employee Free Choice Act. She is also an alum of multi-issue state-based organizations like the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center, and the Center for Policy Alternatives.

BACKGROUND: Founded in 2016, For Our Future Action Fund and For Our Future run the largest, permanent progressive field program across seven states: FL, MI, NV, OH, PA, VA, and WI. Along with community partners, the groups organize all-year-long around issues, legislative advocacy, and campaigns to win elections and help build the lasting power needed to improve people’s lives. The groups plan to raise $80 million for its grassroots efforts in 2020 to advance progressive legislation, defeat President Trump, and pick up seats in races key to redistricting.
